the crime rate in South Central is down. the drugs, violence, and crime are all down. But i still don’t like living here. because there is to much crime. the three most important events that have mad South Central what it is today is the Watts riots, the Crack Epidemic, and the LA riots.
First, it was the Watts riots. it was important because they rioted because of the abusment of the police. they arrested Mark Frye for reckless driving. But the bad part was when they arrested his mother. they met on 103rd street for a meeting. that day they rioted and Watts was burred to the grown. that is this is important.
Second, it was the crack epidemic. it was important because if the U.S goverment didn’t cell crack to people for money to help the people in Nicaragua no of this would happen with crack and cocaine. people would have not even heard of crack/ cocaine. that is why this is important.
the final one is the LA riots. this is important because the people rioted because of the beating of Rodney king and the murder of Latasha Harlins. Rodney King was in a chase and was pulled over the police beat him for 15 minutes. Latasha was a young teenager and she was buying Orange juice and she was shot and killed by a lady who was the owners sister. after the all white jury convicted the white officers “NON GUILTY” even though they had the beating on video riots quickly began.
the three events showed how South Central changed in all that had occurred in it. it will change in the future by having more people successful.
